When most people ask how Maya is, there is one word that usually sums it all up: Crazy. I realize that a lot of parents probably refer to their children as being or acting crazy sometime, but Maya takes this to a whole new level. Her personality and charismatic attitude about life amaze us for how young she is. I don't think anyone has made us laugh like Maya does. She is everything good about life.
A brief summary of the craziness-
Maya:
whistles in the morning...
waves to the outside when I open the blinds...
tries purposefully to fall off the bed...
throws her body back onto the hard floor...
drinks her bath-water...
stuffs her mouth so full of food, she can't even chew...
points at the ceiling and loses her balance...
smiles so big you can see her tonsils...
kisses herself in the mirror, but just hits her head repeatedly...
chases every little kid she sees around at church...
dives off the bench head first at church...
picks up lint, crumbs, and tiny little specks of nothing off the floor and eats them...
looks like a caged animal sometimes after naps ready to tear up the world...
loves to do back flips with mom and dad...
loves to be thrown around on the bed...
walks with her hands on the ground, legs straight, and bum up in the air...
the instant her hand comes in contact with her blanket on the floor, her head goes down and her thumb goes in for a 10-second nap...
That is just a taste of the many quirks and sides of the Papaya.
